Rivalry

It seems I have moved from one rivalry to the next. My parents, many aunts/uncles, grandpa, and two brothers so far have gone to the University of Utah. I lived within 2 miles of the U. But I chose to go to BYU. My loyalty lies with them as I competed as an athlete and loved every year of education there. I also like the U. I think it is perfectly okay to like both.

Just as I think I'm graduated and away from the rivalry between two great places, I get into another one. I got a new job! Yes, another new one. I will be working medical-oncology with Intermountain Healthcare. My other job is with University of Utah Healthcare. They are rivals. I like both companies very much and so far think they both deliver wonderful health care.

I am so grateful to be working as an RN and really excited about it all. The last year I have been waiting... sometimes not patiently... to begin working as a nurse. It has all come together great and I couldn't ask for anything more.

pinning

This whole no school things is great. My favorite part is making money for doing the same things I did as a student. My second favorite thing is that when my shift is over... I'm done. No lingering thoughts of homework or hundreds of tasks that must be done. What is a girl to do in that time?

PINTEREST... or as Bryan says "getting my pin on"

Mostly I just look at all the sweet stuff. But I do love doing crafts. I finished this flower wreath and have another one going. I think I probably should spend more of my efforts learning how to cook for my poor starving husband.

HO, HO, HO

cowboy penguin?

Our Christmas break was wonderful! We loved spending time with family and friends and being home. I started my first RN job at the University of Utah Neuropsychiatric Institute.  Its going well so far and I'm so excited to finally use my nursing license.  I NEVER thought I would be doing this job, but it should be great. Bryan did some good studying for the GMAT.

On Christmas Eve we helped do a sub for santa for a Bryan's dad.  Bryan dressed up (quite well) as santa and Katie, Emily, and I delievered gifts and clothes to the girl and her family.  It was really fun and would be a neat tradition to keep doing.  That santa suit gets great use- last year Jacob (Bryan's brother) wore it and delievered my beautiful ring to me!

It was our first Christmas season being married.  We did out best to go to both families gatherings- bowling, game night, penguin theme party, both of my grandparents, both of Bryan's grandparents, Christmas breakfast.  It was kind of tricky but hopefully both sides of our family know we love them and want to be with them.

Bryan got a wii- come and play! I got a road bike- lets ride. Along with lots of good stuff.
